The Gong Yang HE73 and HE75 Series Angular Extend Milling Heads are engineered to expand axial reach, deep-cavity access, and horizontal cutting operations on vertical machine tools and double-column plano-millers, seamlessly adapting equipment to execute both vertical and cross-milling tasks to achieve versatile, multi-purpose machining efficiency. Featuring an extended, rigid yet compact structure with ergonomic handling, the unit incorporates an integrated 360° graduated dial ring for swift and precise positioning of the milling cutter orientation. Its elongated reach makes it exceptionally well-suited for accessing deep-pocket cavities, narrow internal slots, end-face trimming, and bevel chamfering across complex workpieces, substantially minimizing cumulative tolerances caused by multiple workpiece re-clampings.
Built for dependable cutting rigidity, dynamic balance, and prolonged service life under rigorous duty cycles, both the drive gears and spindle shaft are precision-machined from high-grade chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, rigorously quenched, heat-treated, and precision ground. Equipped with high-precision ball bearings optimized for high-speed performance and light-to-medium milling applications, the series features a 1:1 drive reduction ratio and is available in configurations supporting standard #40 (HE73) and #50 (HE75) spindle tapers. The spindle accommodates NT or BT tool shanks (BT pull studs must be removed, and dedicated matching drawbars can be specified upon order). Spindle rotation is designed strictly for clockwise (forward) cutting duty—reverse rotation is dedicated exclusively to tapping and counterboring cycles and must never be applied to milling or drilling—ensuring uncompromising geometric accuracy and long-term operational reliability.
