The Gong Yang CN74 and CN75 Series 90° Angular Milling Heads are engineered to expand the horizontal and angular machining envelope of vertical machine tools, cost-effectively converting vertical milling into horizontal and side-milling operations to achieve multi-purpose machine utility. Featuring a compact footprint and ergonomic operation, the head incorporates a 360° graduated index ring that allows operators to easily orient the cutter direction, making it an ideal attachment for accessing confined internal slots, deep-cavity boring, end-face trimming, shoulder milling, and bevel chamfering across complex workpieces.
Engineered for dependable operational reliability and extended wear life, both the spindle shaft and drive gearing are precision-machined from high-grade chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, rigorously carburized, heat-treated, and precision ground. Equipped with high-precision ball bearings optimized for high-speed operation and light cutting duty, the series delivers up to 15 KW of driving power, 300 N.m of cutting torque, and operating speeds up to 2000 RPM across standard #40 spindle tapers (manual clamping mechanism; compatible with NT or BT shanks with pull studs removed). The drive is designed strictly for clockwise (forward) cutting rotation—reverse rotation is dedicated exclusively to tapping and counterboring operations and must never be applied to milling or drilling—ensuring long-term geometric precision and operational reliability.
